Paayum Puli Movie Review

Director Suseenthiran has been giving good hits with his movies one after the other including ‘Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu’, ‘Aathalaal Kadhal Seiveer’, ‘Jiiva’ and ‘Pandiya Naadu’.

The director, following the success of Pandiya Naadu has once again joined hands with actor Vishal for Paayum Puli. The film has its opening sequence in Madurai where a gang gets money from a businessman and murder those who do not pay. When there is a police raid, a sub inspector gets killed by the gang.

It is at this time that actor Vishal who plays the role of an AC Jayaseelan together with his constable friend Soori accompanies him. He falls in love with Kajal Agarwal – plays Sowmya in the film – right at the first sight. Vishal gets together with all the dons and try killing them as encounter. Then comes the twist when he tries killing the leader when the brother of ACP, Selvam (Samuthirakani) enters. The remaining story is full of emotion and action that ends with a violent climax.

As an encounter specialist, Vishal has done what is required in all the action sequences. He is seen silent at home. It is the climax that proves his acting when he has to fight with his own brother. This time, it is yet another excellent performance by Samuthirakani.
